The Bossy Lady online store and made the customer journey easier

Multi-brand shoe store Bossy Lady approached us with the goal chinese student data of developing a new attractive and convenient B2C online store. We tell you how we solved the problem.

Hello! We are the team of the digital agency  Stik.  If we summarize all the processes carried out, then as part of working with the customer, we:

  • developed an online store in line with the brand’s current design;
  • automated work in RetailCRM;
  • We carried out a complete synchronization of all stages of the business, including warehouse accounting.

1. Dive into the client’s business: research insights

The first step is to analyze the client’s business. We studied the product, the competitive environment, competitors’ websites, and the target audience. Based on in-depth research, we identified the characteristics of the Bossy Lady audience affiliate website relaunch – review 2 years later on traffic, rankings and more  and came to some interesting conclusions:

  • users are more likely to buy if there is a bonus program;

Our task was to take into account all the identified insights and highlight the distinctive features of the company in the design and functionality of the site. So that the purchasing process became intuitive and easy, regardless of the device from which a person accesses the online store.

2. Detailed plan: prototype and design

At the prototyping stage, we used a basic set of standard online store elements:

  • home page;
  • product catalog;
  • product card;
  • basket.

After creating the prototype, we started designing. The emphasis was on the first screen (on the cover), so that the picture and title would attract attention.

Then we started working on the navigation menu, taking into account the nuances: the size should not be too big, but not too small, so as not to overload the page; there should not be many items in the menu; the title should not stand out too much.

After developing the menu, we started creating the logo and defining the fonts. We tried not to overload the pages and make the font readable and eye-catching.

3. Clear Code: Development and Design

During development, we paid most attention to functionality:

  • clear code: the smaller and more literate it is, the faster the site loads;
  • validity (correctness);
  • cross-browser layout;

Also did an important part of the work:

  1. We wrote scripts that are used to load content;
  2. Made elements interactive;
  3. Implemented complex animations and visual effects;
  4. Wrote an API for integration with the CMS system;
  5. We described unit tests to check how correctly a particular function works.

We completed server-side programming and database design, configured user roles and management in the administrative panel, and developed an API for integration with third-party services.

Result

As a result, we implemented user-friendly page navigation, as well as a clear administrative part of the site, making order processing as easy as possible.

The design emphasizes minimalism, which reflects the client’s aesthetics and policies, and resonates with Bossy Lady’s audience.
